Dubbing Studio

Automatic dubbing has two problems: the voice turns robotic and the acting gets lost. The translation often misses the scene, too. Traditional studio dubbing does the job right, but it is expensive for most creators. The Dubbing Studio works between these two extremes; I prepare videos in the speaker’s own voice, in Turkish that fits the scene.

I dubbed a full-length interview into Turkish from start to finish; right now I’m working on tone and naturalness.

Four principles

• In their own voice — the speaker speaks Turkish in their own vocal timbre.
• With the emotion — every line keeps the mood of the original.
• Turkish that fits the scene — not word by word; rewritten for how people actually speak.
• Lip-aware — the picture is touched only where needed; the face and expression stay original.

Ethical precondition

“A voice belongs to its owner.” I only use the voices of speakers who explicitly consent; I never clone a voice without permission.
